Assembly Operative
Due to the steady growth of the company and on-going expansion plans in place, we are now seeking to expand our Assembly team. Maxflow Power Products is a market leading manufacturer of domestic, semi-industrial and industrial pressure washers and generators - with over 25 years industry experience.
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Hours: 7:15am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday | 7:15am – 3:15pm Friday
Main Roles and Responsibilities
- Duties will include the manufacture and assembly of new machines/pumps, gearboxes.
- Working within the electrical machine line, or engine powered line.
- After the new machines are built, you will be required to test each of them before they are sent to dispatch.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations placed onsite.
- Use of hand tools & power tools on a daily basis.
Essential Criteria
- Candidate should be a self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Experience in assembly is essential but training will also be provided.
- Experience or interest in electrical/mechanical machinery or engineering will be essential.
Desirable Skills
Mechanically inclined individuals with prior experience, or experience in small electrical and engine driven machines would be advantageous. Fabrication skills would also be desirable but not essential.

Technical Support Advisor

Main Roles and Responsibilities
- Point of contact for technical queries regarding our pressure washer, water pump & generator product lines, including parts and accessories.
- Dealing with customers throughout the UK & Ireland via email and telephone.
- Be able to advise the correct product based on application/use.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations placed onsite.
- Assisting with technical/troubleshooting problems.
- Use of hand tools & power tools on a daily basis.
- Liaise with our departments, identifying opportunities or sharing appropriate information promptly and effectively.
- Using internal stock control system to support both customers and other departments.
Essential Criteria
- Candidates coming from a similar industry with practical knowledge and experience with in a similar product range is preferred.
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience working with power products, small engine * electrical machinery and power product accessories.
- Computer literacy skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are essential.
- Excellent verbal, written, telephone and email comminication skills.
- You must be technically minded and have a good eye for detail.

Purchasing Administrator
About us

Due to the continued growth of the company and expansion plans in place, we are now seeking an experienced purchasing administrator.
Reporting to: Operations Manager
Hours: 7:15am – 4:30pm Monday to Thursday | 7:15am – 3:15pm Friday
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for purchasing of all components and consumables.
- Ensuring all components are purchased competitively, on time and that goods are received within expected lead times.
- Monitoring top components and ensuring items that are running low are ordered and received on time to prevent run out, considering supplier lead times.
- Continually monitoring stock of all items, ensuring all are within acceptable limits, set out within the system.
- Sourcing components from various manufacturers as and when required, including new or changing components.
- Ensuring items are purchased in line with supplier price list, that discount levels are correct, and quantity breaks are correct.
- Forecasting of all critical items, reviewing usages monthly and updating forecasts as necessary.
- Negotiating better prices/service across all suppliers, particularly those with high usage.
- Organising collection with couriers/shippers of all items where required and monitoring delivery.
- Matching POD’s to invoices and placing on the system, ensuring all prices agree to purchase order price and quantities received, any discrepancies being raised immediately.
- Filing supplementary declarations with TSS.
Any other duties to compliment the role.
Essential Criteria
- Coming from a strong background in a similar industry, the successful person must have practical knowledge with experience in mechanical products to quickly familiarise themselves.
- Candidate should be a self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience working in a purchasing department, supporting a busy manufacturing environment.
- Computer literacy skills to include Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook are essential.

Engineering Operative

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Manufacturing of tubular frames for various power product machines, including pressure washers and generators, using state of the art CNC Fully automatic mandrel tube bender / CNC Press Brake / CNC Plasma.

Adhere to all health and safety practices in place in a busy workplace environment.

Suggest any practical improvements to existing and new product lines.

Use of various welding and CNC machinery on a day-to-day basis.

Working within the electrical machine line, or engine powered line.
Any other duties to compliment the role.
Essential Criteria

Candidate should be a self-motivated individual who can work independently as well as part of a team.

Experience in operating fully automated CNC machinery such as Mandrels tube bender, Plasma Cutter and Press Brake is desired.
- Prior experience and competence in reading schematics and mechanical drawings desired.
- Experience in welding is advantageous but full training will be provided.
- Implementing best practice standard work on shop floor to improve safety and quality and maximise efficiency.
- Strong communication, verbal and numeracy skills
- Previous experience or interest in electrical/mechanical machinery will be essential.
